Cynthia D. Hubbard-Arevalo has served as Intake and Litigation Paralegal at Child Justice, Inc in the satellite office of Columbia, Maryland, since December 14, 2020. Cynthia is a first-generation immigrant from Mexico and Honduras who escaped extreme violence and poverty. Fluent in English and Spanish, Cynthia earned a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from American University in Washington, D.C., in 2012. In addition, in 2021, Cynthia graduated with a Masters degree in Public Administration and Public Policy from the University of Miami in Florida. Professionally, Cynthia possesses experience as a Legal Assistant and Paralegal to attorneys practicing various areas of law such as immigration, human rights, military, civil, traffic, and criminal. Most recently, Cynthia worked as a Judicial Assistant to several Judges in the Criminal and Civil sections at the 11th Judicial Circuit Court for Miami-Dade County, Florida, and Administrative Assistant/ SPIRIT System Specialist for the Administrative Office of the Courts. Personally, Cynthia is grateful and proud of her family; she loves animals, nature, travel, vegetarian food, and running at a slow but constant pace. Understanding and developing resilience both personally and professionally for others and herself is Cynthia’s motivation to keep moving forward one step at a time.
