Lisa Dowell began working with Child Justice as Director of Development and Communications in February 2022. She graduated magna cum laude from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and received her JD from Santa Clara University. She has been a member of the California Bar since 2004, and has spent the last 14 years working with nonprofit organizations big and small, including the Alzheimer’s Association, Homeward Trails Animal Rescue, and Northern Virginia Therapeutic Riding Program. Her role at CJI includes fundraising strategy and implementation, marketing, and social media. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her two teenage sons and taking care of her many animals including horses, dogs, cats, goats, chickens and guinea fowl.
