We are a Maryland-based nonprofit legal services organization (Tax ID: 46-2493549) dedicated to protecting children from abuse. Our work is unique: it centers around the family court system and how it responds to evidence of domestic violence and child abuse in custody, access, and protective order cases. Our priority is the safety of children, and our services are provided free of charge to protective, non-offending parents.
Our cases are based in Maryland due to funding from the Governor's Office of Crime Prevention, Youth, and Victim Services (subaward numbers VOCA-2021-0070, VOCG-2024-0026, and VOCG-2024-0151) and Maryland Legal Services Corporation, but we have a national footprint and receive referral requests from all over the United States.
