Heroes Of Child Justice
Heroes of Child Justice is our signature fundraising event that honors the heroes that make our mission to protect children possible, while raising much-needed funds for our legal services program. The 2025 event took place on September 13 at Bembe Beach in Annapolis and honored seven incredible individuals: Chas Atkinson, Kasey Atkinson, Alanna Clair, Annie Kenny, Hera McLeod, Danielle Pollack, and Dr. Kathryn Spearman. The keynote address was provided by siblings Chas and Kasey Atkinson. They were child clients many years ago and they bravely shared their family's experience and how they felt as children navigating the family court system. Visit the 2025 program to read more about each of our awardees.
The 2024 event honored Congressman Steny Hoyer, Beth Brent, Brad Clark, David Dorey, Greg Jacob, Claudia Remington, and Garland Waller. Visit last year's program to read about the 2024 awardees and check out the event's photo gallery here..
If you are interested in sponsoring the 2026 event, please contact our Development Director at: lisa.dowell@child-justice.org.
This year, we honored those who have lived this work and are "boots on the ground," making a difference every day to further our mission to protect children from abuse.
